Privacy policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Polish helps you discover and book nail artists. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Polish mobile app and this website.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and name, either directly or from the sign-in provider you choose (Apple or Google). Nail professionals may add profile details such as a bio, specialty, work photos, and workplace address.
- Account data: email, name, optional profile photo, and role (client or professional).
- Content you post: photos, captions, reviews, and chat messages tied to your bookings.
- Booking data: services, appointment times, reference photos, and booking status.
- Location: an approximate location, when you grant it, used to show artists and looks near you.
- Device data: push notification tokens so we can deliver booking reminders and updates.
Payments
Card and bank details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Polish never sees or stores full card numbers. For no-show deposit protection, a card is saved with Stripe at booking and charged only if a booking is missed or cancelled inside the cancellation window. Professional memberships are billed by Stripe on the web.
How we use your information
We use your information to run the service: matching you with nearby artists, processing bookings, delivering chat messages and reminders, displaying portfolios and reviews, and providing customer support. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
Your information is shared only with the service providers that power Polish: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Stripe (payments), Expo (push notification delivery), and Google (address search). Bookings necessarily share relevant details between you and the professional you book with.
Waitlist and marketing site
Before the app launches, this website runs a waitlist so we can email you when Polish is ready and calculate referral rewards. Separately from the app and booking data described above, this site also collects:
- Waitlist signups: your email, role (client or artist), and optional ZIP code, plus referral details if you joined through a referral link. We also record the marketing channel that brought you here — utm_source/utm_medium/utm_campaign link parameters and the referring website — so we know which channel to credit. This is stored in Supabase in the United States, and your email is the key we use for launch emails, referral rewards, and early-bird credits. You can leave the waitlist at any time with "Leave the waitlist" on this site, or request deletion at support@polish-beauty.com.
- Site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, anonymous page-view analytics service. It does not identify you personally.
- Advertising: we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how well our ads perform and to build audiences for future ads. It sets cookies and uses identifiers in your browser to do this, and that data is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. See Meta's privacy policy for how they handle it: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
Retention and deletion
You can delete your content (posts, photos) in the app at any time. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at support@polish-beauty.com and we will process the request within 30 days.
Children
Polish is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves; material changes will be announced in the app. Questions? Reach us at support@polish-beauty.com.
